An interior designer by training, Kelian received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Montreal in 2019.

Kelian has a particular affection for experiential and sensory design, aiming to make users experience unique emotions. This is why he places the user at the center of the project by proposing aesthetic designs based on the needs, desires and ideals of future users in order to create an adapted, sustainable and timeless environment.

7 questions to get to know me...

What does interior design mean to you?

For me, interior design is really the combination of aesthetics and functionality in the service of the users' well-being. I don't believe in designs that are based solely on aesthetic values while omitting the human side. I believe that it is by putting the human side at the heart of the design that we obtain successful and sustainable designs. From there, I see a major importance in the development of the human-built environment relationship in interior design based on the needs, desires and ideals of the occupants of the space.

What do the projects that inspire you have in common?

I think that the fundamental link between the projects that inspire me is that they are spaces with a human dimension, thought for the occupants and their well-being. The projects that inspire me are projects that I would have liked to have realized and that challenge me to try to propose something at least as good with my added touch.

What inspires you in general?

I think really anything can be a source of inspiration but personally my biggest source of inspiration is what's around me. It can be from personal experiences in my daily life, a book I read or simply my instagram and Pinterest feed!

Why did you choose to become a designer?

I don't know if I really "chose" to be a designer, I think it's something that came naturally. I've always wanted to steer my life towards an ideal where I feel good and I think interior design helps me achieve that wellness on a daily basis. The chance to offer adapted, personalized and meaningful spaces to humans is really an inexhaustible source of envy for me.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I think the most exciting part of being an interior designer for me is seeing projects that we have thought about for a long time finally build and take shape! Often this is accompanied by messages from clients who are also very excited about this progress and the whole thing combined really reminds me why we put so much effort into developing each project!
