What is the average duration of a project?
The total duration of a project varies greatly depending on many factors, such as the availability of the various parties involved, the state of the market, but above all... you! For our part, our process takes a minimum of 3 months if you respond promptly between each stage, but in reality it generally stretches over 4 to 6 months. While some may find this timeframe a little long at first glance, it's probably a life project, and as the investment is substantial, you'll quickly understand that this process is complex and requires thought on your part at several crucial stages.
Finally, the teams chosen to carry out your project will be able to give you a good idea of the duration of your work once they have seen our plans.
How much do your services cost?
We work on an hourly or fixed-price basis, depending on your project requirements. We define this together, based on the precise needs discussed during a free familiarization meeting. The level of bespoke detail and guidance you require from us will influence the number of hours we schedule, but your budget will have no impact on our rates. So, for two projects of similar size, dimensions and budget, our fees can be doubled if you want something basic, or if you prefer turnkey support right through to completion.

Do you work with technologists/architects/engineers?
Of course we do! Whether you're expanding, digging out your basement, adding a floor or even building a new home, our team is constantly working with different professionals, depending on the needs of the project at hand.
Some customers come with their contacts and we're always happy to collaborate with new people, others ask us for references from previous customers and we're happy to provide these to facilitate the process.
How tailor-made is your service?
All the way! You decide how much support you want, and how far we go to take care of every detail of your project.
We offer an hourly service in addition to the usual package when certain customers want, for example, additional in-store meetings with them, suggestions for the exterior aesthetics of their facade, a layout proposal for their backyards, help with the final installation of their interior, etc.
Can I choose who I work with in your team?
From the very first discussions, we'll establish what's at stake in your project and the aesthetic direction you'd like to take. As a result, a project manager will be assigned to your mandate, based on his or her qualities, to respond as effectively as possible to your project.
We are confident that you will be fully satisfied with the expertise of the team member you work with!
Will the same person be handling my file throughout the project?
Yes, once you've assigned a project manager, this person will become your day-to-day contact for all your specific project questions. Gatline, the owner, also supervises all the office's projects, right through to the very end.
What's more, in some projects, a team member specialized in technical drawing may be added to the exchanges and discussions as needed, to help the project manager produce your construction plans.
Do you have in-house contractors and cabinetmakers?
Although we don't offer any in-house construction services and we don't subcontract any trades, we do work with many professionals on a daily basis, and we're always happy to offer these references to new customers.
We always try to refer you to contacts who meet your project requirements, but you are free to choose the different teams you wish to work with on your project!
Do you have any projects outside the Greater Montreal area?
Of course, we go where you are! If travel is required, it will simply be billed as an additional fee to the usual package offered for a similar project in the greater Montreal area.
Do you do small projects or decoration?
No, we focus on major renovation projects and do not offer furnishing and/or decorating services outside of a complete renovation project.
How do you decide if a project is a good fit?
First of all, it is important for us to define if the deadline and the budget are realistic. Then we need to feel that the trust in our team is there from the start. We make sure that our clients are looking for a unique and customized product and that they understand the value of our services.
Our clients all share our vision, appreciate our expertise and love what we do, which is why they trust us throughout the process.
Can I commission you to draw up layout plans only?
Having acquired a reputation over the years for the quality of our layout plans, we do indeed offer this service separately from the other phases, if required.
Some clients (often in the construction industry), hire us only for these plans which already offer ultra-optimized ideas for their project. Others change their minds and hire us for the rest as well... what can we say, we are charming! Haha! ;)
What is APDIQ and are you a member?
The APDIQ (Association Professionnelle des Designers d'Intérieur du Québec) is the association of qualified interior design professionals, of which we are a member.
Do you offer designer discounts?
In fact, as members of APDIQ, we offer our designer discounts to all our customers. These vary from 5% to 50% depending on the type of product specified.
